How imaging with Nuvivo works

1. You choose the scan you need (or contact us for guidance)

2. If required, our GP reviews your symptoms and issues a referral

3. We book your scan with a partner imaging clinic

4. You attend the scan at the partner site

5. A specialist radiology report is produced and shared with you

What does “1 part / 2 part / 3 part” mean?

Imaging prices are based on how many body areas (“parts”) are scanned during the same appointment.

Examples:

• 1 part – One body area (e.g. MRI Knee or MRI Brain)

• 2 parts – Two related areas (e.g. MRI Lumbar + Thoracic Spine)

• 3 parts – Three areas (e.g. Cervical + Thoracic + Lumbar Spine)

• 4 parts – Four areas (e.g. Whole Spine + Pelvis)

Scanning multiple parts in one session is often more efficient and cost-effective than booking separate scans.

MRI Scan Prices

• MRI – 1 Part: £470

• MRI – 2 Parts: £690

• MRI – 3 Parts: £980

• MRI – 4 Parts: £1,178

• MRI Arthrogram: £785

Best for:
Soft tissue injuries, joints, spine, brain, nerves, pelvis, prostate

Radiation: None
Referral: Required (GP referral can be arranged)

CT Scan Prices

• CT – 1 Part: £650

• CT – 2 Parts: £850

• CT – 3 Parts: £1,200

Best for:
Bones, chest, lungs, abdomen, trauma, fast assessment

Radiation: Yes (medical dose)
Referral: Required (GP referral can be arranged)

Ultrasound Scan Prices

• Ultrasound – Plain: £330

• Ultrasound – Gynaecology / Pelvis: £440

• Ultrasound – Gastrointestinal (USGI): £465

Best for:
Abdominal pain, organs, pelvis, thyroid, soft tissue lumps

Radiation: None
Referral: May be required

DEXA Scan Prices

• DEXA Scan: £280

Best for:
Bone density assessment, osteoporosis risk, body composition

Radiation: Very low
Referral: May be required

X-ray Prices

• X-ray – 1 Part: £135

• X-ray – 2 Parts: £270

• X-ray – 4 Parts: £405

Best for:
Fractures, chest/lungs, joints, bones

Radiation: Low dose
Referral: May be required

GP Referral Fee

• GP referral (if required): £90

This covers:

• GP review of your symptoms

• Clinical justification for imaging

• Issuing a formal referral accepted by imaging providers

Some scans cannot legally or safely be performed without a referral.
If you already have a valid referral, this fee does not apply.

Important information

• Nuvivo does not perform scans directly

• All imaging is carried out by independent partner clinics

• Prices cover scan coordination and reporting from the imaging provider

• Preparation instructions will be provided before your appointment

• Urgent or emergency symptoms should be assessed via emergency services
