Frequently asked questions

Who is this test for?

It is for adults who feel persistently tired despite adequate sleep. It covers the most common measurable causes of fatigue, including anaemia and iron stores, thyroid function, vitamin B12, folate and vitamin D, blood sugar control, and liver and kidney function.

How is this different from the Fatigue & Vitamin Deficiency test?

This panel is broader. It looks beyond nutrition to include thyroid, blood sugar, and organ function. The Fatigue & Vitamin Deficiency panel concentrates specifically on nutritional causes and suits people who already suspect a deficiency.

Do I need to fast before this test?

Yes, where blood sugar markers are included. Please fast for 10 to 12 hours, drinking water only. An early morning appointment is usually easiest.

Should I stop taking supplements first?

Please stop biotin containing supplements for 48 hours, as biotin interferes with thyroid testing. If you take iron or B12, mention it when booking, as recent supplementation raises those readings and can hide a deficiency.

How soon will I have my results?

Most results are available within 2 to 4 working days of the laboratory receiving your sample. You will receive a secure email when your report is ready in your online patient portal.
