How to prepare
How to prepare
- Fasting is not required, but avoid heavy meals before testing
- Take your sample between 7:00 AM – 10:00 AM
- Avoid strenuous exercise and sexual activity for 48 hours prior
- Stay well hydrated
- Avoid supplements (iron, B12, folate, biotin, multivitamins) for 48 hours
- Hormonal medications may affect results — consult your GP
- Inform us if you take amiodarone or lithium (can affect thyroid results)
