How to Prepare for Your Test
How to Prepare for Your Test
To ensure the most accurate and reliable results, please follow the guidance below:
Fasting
• Fast for 8 hours before your appointment
• Water is allowed and encouraged
• Avoid coffee, tea, supplements, or food during the fasting window
Exercise
• Avoid intense or prolonged exercise for 24 hours prior
• Heavy training may temporarily affect inflammation, liver, muscle and hormone markers
Timing (Important for Hormones)
• Schedule your appointment before 10:30 AM
• Hormones such as testosterone and cortisol are time-sensitive and highest in the morning
Medication
• Continue your regular medication unless your doctor has advised otherwise
• If unsure, please contact us prior to testing
Hydration
• Stay well hydrated with water on the day of your test
• Proper hydration supports easier sample collection
