Blood draw options
You can choose how your venous blood sample is collected:

Results turnaround
Results are typically available within 3 working days from when the lab receives your sample.
How to prepare

Take your sample between 7:00 AM and 10:00 AM
-
If menstruating: test on day 2–5 of your cycle (ideally day 3)

If not menstruating: test any time

Avoid using fingers exposed to hormone creams/gels in the last 4 weeks

Use gloves when applying topical hormones going forward
-
Avoid biotin supplements for 2 days prior (unless prescribed)

Continue thyroxine as usual; take liothyronine or DTE after the blood draw

Let us know if you take amiodarone or lithium, as these may affect thyroid readings

Hormonal contraception may affect results
