MRI Two Areas
MRI Two Areas
An MRI covering two regions in the same appointment. Common examples include both knees, brain and cervical spine, or hip and pelvis. Ideal if symptoms affect more than one area.
🔹 How the Process Works
-
Referral & Booking – After you complete your request, a Nuvivo GP will review your details and provide a referral for the scan. We then arrange the appointment at one of our trusted imaging centres.
-
Preparation – In most cases, no special preparation is required. For certain scans, you may be asked to avoid food/drink for a short period or to change into a gown.
-
During the Scan –
-
You will lie on a comfortable, moveable table which slides into the MRI scanner.
-
The scanner makes loud tapping or knocking sounds — earplugs or headphones will be provided.
-
The procedure is completely painless and usually lasts 20–45 minutes, depending on the number of areas scanned.
-
-
After the Scan – You can go home straight away. A consultant radiologist will review your images and prepare a formal medical report.
