What is PRP?

PRP stands for Platelet-Rich Plasma.

A small amount of your own blood is collected during your appointment and processed to separate the plasma and platelets from the other blood components.

The prepared PRP is then used during your treatment.

Platelets contain naturally occurring proteins and growth factors involved in tissue repair and regeneration. In aesthetic medicine, PRP is used with the aim of supporting skin quality and rejuvenation.

Because the PRP is prepared from your own blood, there is no synthetic filler contained within the PRP itself.

Hyalift 35

A non-cross-linked hyaluronic acid skin booster designed to support skin hydration and skin quality.

This may be considered where dryness, dehydration or overall skin hydration is a particular concern.

Jalupro Classic

Combines hyaluronic acid with amino acids involved in normal skin structure.

It is used in aesthetic practice with the aim of supporting hydration and improving aspects of skin quality.

NCTF 135 HA

A skin revitalisation product combining hyaluronic acid with a formulation containing vitamins, amino acids, minerals and other components.

It is used with the aim of improving hydration and the appearance of tired or dull skin.

Do I need a skin booster?

Not necessarily.

PRP can be performed as a standalone treatment.

Your practitioner can explain whether adding a booster is likely to be appropriate for your goals. There is no obligation to add anything to your treatment.

Booster type, quantity, treatment area and final price are confirmed before treatment.

What happens during your appointment?

1. Consultation

We start by discussing your goals, medical history, medications and previous aesthetic treatments.

Your practitioner will assess the treatment area and explain whether PRP is suitable for you.

2. Blood collection

A small blood sample is taken during your appointment.

3. PRP preparation

Your blood is processed using our PRP preparation protocol to separate the platelet-rich component required for treatment.

4. Treatment

The prepared PRP is administered to the agreed treatment areas.

The exact technique used will depend on the area being treated and your personalised treatment plan.

5. Aftercare

You will receive appropriate aftercare information before leaving the clinic.

When will I see results?

PRP is not an instant-result treatment.

The aim is to support gradual changes in skin quality over the weeks following treatment.

Some patients may choose a single treatment, while others may be advised to consider a course of treatments depending on their goals.

How many sessions will I need?

There is no single treatment plan suitable for everyone.

A course of treatments where a more structured regenerative skin programme may be appropriate.

There is no requirement to purchase a course in advance.

Is there downtime?

PRP is minimally invasive, but some temporary effects are expected.
