GLP‑1 Weight Loss Monitoring Panel
Monitor your health throughout your GLP-1 weight-loss journey
GLP-1 weight-loss medications can produce significant changes in appetite, food intake, body weight and metabolic health. Regular blood testing can help you understand how your body is responding and identify changes that may require further clinical review.
The Nuvivo GLP-1 Weight Loss Monitoring Blood Test assesses blood-sugar control, cholesterol, liver and kidney health, pancreatic lipase, iron stores, folate and your blood-cell profile.
It is suitable for adults using medications such as Mounjaro® (tirzepatide), Wegovy® (semaglutide), Ozempic® or another medically prescribed GLP-1 treatment.
What does this test measure?
Blood-sugar control
HbA1c
Measures your average blood-glucose level over approximately the previous 8–12 weeks. This helps monitor changes in glucose control during treatment.
Cholesterol and cardiovascular health
Lipid Profile
Includes:
-
Total cholesterol
-
HDL cholesterol
-
LDL cholesterol
-
Non-HDL cholesterol
-
HDL percentage
-
Triglycerides
Weight loss and improved blood-sugar control can affect your cholesterol and triglyceride levels. Monitoring these markers helps provide a clearer view of your changing cardiovascular risk profile.
Liver health
Liver Function Test
Includes:
-
Alanine aminotransferase (ALT)
-
Aspartate aminotransferase (AST)
-
Alkaline phosphatase (ALP)
-
Gamma-glutamyl transferase (GGT)
-
Bilirubin
-
Albumin
-
Globulin
-
Total protein
These markers assess liver health and may help identify changes associated with fatty liver disease, medication use or rapid weight loss.
Kidney health
Kidney Function Profile
Includes:
-
Creatinine
-
Estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR)
-
Urea
Kidney monitoring is particularly important if treatment causes persistent nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, dehydration or a significant reduction in food and fluid intake.
Pancreatic health
Lipase
Lipase is an enzyme produced primarily by the pancreas. An abnormal result may require clinical review, particularly when accompanied by significant abdominal symptoms.
A lipase result cannot diagnose or exclude pancreatitis on its own and must be interpreted alongside symptoms and medical assessment.
Full Blood Count
Measures red blood cells, white blood cells, haemoglobin, haematocrit and platelets.
This can help identify potential anaemia, infection, inflammation and other blood-cell abnormalities.
Nutritional health
Ferritin
Assesses the body’s stored iron. Reduced food intake or a restrictive diet may increase the risk of insufficient iron intake.
Folate
Folate is needed for normal red blood-cell production, cell division and several essential metabolic processes.

Important information
This is a monitoring blood test and does not include a GLP-1 prescription, medication review or confirmation that treatment is suitable for you.
Do not change or stop prescribed medication based solely on your results. Discuss abnormal results, side effects and treatment decisions with your prescribing clinician.
Seek urgent medical assistance if you develop severe or persistent abdominal pain, particularly if it travels to your back or occurs with vomiting, fever, faintness or significant deterioration.
Kidney Function
- Creatinine
- Estimated GFR
- Urea
How to prepare
