It is designed for men aged 40 and over who want a thorough health review. It combines cardiovascular risk markers, blood sugar control, liver and kidney function, a full blood count, testosterone and PSA.

Prostate specific antigen becomes clinically relevant from around age 50, and earlier for men with a family history or of Black ethnicity. A raised PSA does not mean cancer, as it also rises with benign prostate enlargement, infection and recent activity, but it identifies who needs further assessment.

Yes. Avoid ejaculation and vigorous exercise, particularly cycling, for 48 hours before the sample, and postpone testing if you have a urinary infection or have recently had a catheter or prostate examination. All of these can raise PSA and cause unnecessary concern.

Fast for 10 to 12 hours with water only, and book a morning appointment before 10am. Fasting is needed for accurate cholesterol and glucose readings, and testosterone must be measured in the morning when it naturally peaks.
